Surgical Approach to the Spinal Cord Inside the Dura
The dura has been opened to allow for surgery on a tumor inside the spinal cord. Small threads hold the edges of the dura open. After the surgery, the dura is closed to achieve a water-tight seal to prevent leakage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
