|
basal ganglia: A portion of the brain that is involved in controlling smooth movement.
biofeedback: A system that allows an individual patient to see visual or auditory signals that reflect their own level of physiologic or brain activity.
BMP, Bone morphogenetic protein: A natural or synthetic protein that acts to promote the grown of bone.
bone graft: A piece of bone placed at a site where bone fusion is intended to grow.
bone spurs or osteophytes: Abnormal extensions of the normal contour of a bone or vertebrae, associated with degenerative change.
brachial plexus: A group of nerves between the cervical spine and the shoulder, that carries the connections that operate the arms and hands.
bradykinins: Chemicals released by the body at the site of injury.
